Department of forest department on Thursday distributed free solar lamps to Villagers of Tsuthu under Kiphire range.
According to Forest Range Officer, Tsangli Tikhir the distribution of solar lamps would greatly alleviate the sufferings of rural populace as there is dearth of kerosene and candles. He said it would also promote the use of non-conventional energy resources in the energy scarce regions.
Tsuthu Village is recently established and recognized village but is without electricity. Hence, solar lamps have come as a great relief to every household, he added.
Meanwhile, the villagers of Tuthu have appreciated Dr.Sentitula, IFS and Tsangli Tikhir FRO for their effort in distribution of solar lamps.
They also acknowledged the kind gesture of Yatendra Agrawal, founder of Mumbai based NGO, Eco-Solutions, who had taken cognizance of the plight of poor and un-electrified villagers and prayed that the almighty God bless him abundantly.
