In view of Angami Public Organization’s (APO) tribute service for late Isak Chishi Swu on July 1 at Old MLA hostel junction Kohima, the Kohima Chamber of Commerce & Industry (KCCI) has directed all traders to down shutter from 12 p.m. till the departure of the funeral party as a mark of respect to the departed soul. KCCI also requested all trader members to attend the ceremony.
MCCI: Meanwhile, business establishments in Mokokchung town under Mokokchung Chamber of Commerce and Industries (MCCI) have asked all shops to close down on July 2 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., as a mark of joining the rest of Naga inhabited areas in mourning the passing on of Naga national leader Isak Chishi Swu, Yaruiwo, NSCN (I-M). In a letter to DC Mokokchung, MCCI president Tsukti Longkumer and general secretary Limalenden Longkumer informed that the timing would coincide with the funeral and committal service to be held at Suw’s native village, Chishilimi.
Reception at Tseminyu
Rengma Hoho has informed that it would be organising a reception function at Tseminyu on July 1 to pay respect and homage to late Isak Chishi Swu. In this regard, the hoho has directed all its frontal organisations to attend the function and “pay the last respect to our leader.”
