The Nagaland Cricket Association (NCA) has announced open trials for the selection of players for various state teams ahead of the upcoming 2025–26 cricket season beginning from June 17, at Sovima Cricket Ground.
The trials will be covering different age and gender categories. Aspiring cricketers will have the opportunity to showcase their skills and compete for positions on teams ranging from U-16 to senior men’s and women’s squads.
Trial schedule
The trials will take place as per the following schedule:
Boys U-16: June 17; Men’s U-19: June 18 & 19; Men’s U-23: June 20 & 21; Senior Men’s: June 23 & 24; Women’s (U15 & U19): June 25; and Women’s (U23 & Senior): June 26.
Prospective players must meet the age requirements set for each category: U15 Girls: Born between September 1, 2010, and August 31, 2013; U16 Boys: Born between September 1, 2009, and August 31, 2011; U19 (Boys & Girls): Born on or after September 1, 2005; and U23 (Men’s & Women’s): Born on or after September 1, 2002.
Players must register through their respective District Cricket Associations before appearing for the trials. On the reporting day, candidates must provide a recommendation letter, original birth certificate, Aadhaar card, and academic certificates spanning three years where applicable.
Participants are required to report by 8:30 AM, dressed in white playing attire, and bear their own expenses. The selection process will include fitness tests and document verification.
