YouthNet & JCC signs MoU for linking education to employment

YouthNet and Japfü Christian College (JCC) Kigwema signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on “Linking Education to Employment”.
A press release by YouthNet and JCC informed that the aim of MoU is to impart the college students’ training and real work experience while they are in their final year of college.
JCC Kigwema principal, Dr. Visakhonü Hibo said that this was a landmark move as students from JCC would get real life work experience while they are still in college.
Director YouthNet, Lezo Putsure said that, we need to keep the young people busy in doing productive things, saying that each year government jobs are becoming scarcer, on the brighter hand, the private sector is growing.
He also asserted that Nagaland will see more entrepreneurs and private players coming in and that’s when we need to get the young people with the right skills. Linking education to employment is a starting tool to bridge this gap, he stated.
Corporate affairs and public relations YouthNet, Razouvikhol Lüho emphasized that NJC and NCDC are connected with over 150 clients and they would facilitate the students to get real life experience while they pursue their education or after completion. This would also get them ready for employment when they graduate, he added.
