DC& DEO, Mokokchung, Sachin Jaiswal, IAS, has issued a direction on distribution of Photo Voter Slips (PVSs) in connection with the upcoming General Elections. As per ECI instruction, Photo Voter Slips (PVSs) distribution to the electors by BLOs, guidelines as contained in various instructions must be strictly followed. BLOs have to maintain neutrality during the distribution and ensure that they obtain the signature or thump impression of the person to whom the PVSs were delivered while, bulk distribution is not allowed. ROs should monitor the distribution of PVSs with the help of Sector Officers and ensure that all PVSs are duly accounted for. Through Micro Observers and Sector Officers, Observers can carry out random checks and ensure distribution of the PVSs effectively and address complains received, if any, about the conduct of the BLOs, the DC directed.
