NBSE meets centre superintendents

Nagaland Board of School Education (NBSE) organized a meeting with Centre Superintendents of HSLC and HSSLC Examinations, 2018 on February 20 at the Conference Hall. DIPR reports that NBSE chairperson, Asano Sekhose in her address lauded and appreciated the Centre Superintendents for the cooperation and support extended to the Board in the past years, and urged them to continue doing so. She informed them that a total of 21712 candidates will be sitting for the HSLC Examinations at 80 centres. For the 2018 examinations, there are 15281 candidates who will appear at 54 centres.
Asano Sekhose also said that two new centres for the HSLC Examinations have been created at Government Higher Secondary School, Longkhim and Government Higher Secondary School, Niuland. For HSSLC, a new centre was also created at St. Paul Higher Secondary School, Dimapur. Class XI Promotion Examination, 2018 will be held simultaneously with the HSSLC Examination, 2018, where a total of 17704 students have enrolled, in 161 centres, she added.
She appealed to the Centre Superintendents to conduct the forthcoming examinations in a fair manner, free from any malpractices.
Controller of Examinations, Rangumbuing Nsarangbe dwelt on the rules for conduct of examinations.
Issues to be taken into account — pre, during and post examinations — were also discussed at length with the Centre Superintendents.
Sr. Academic Officer, Iluheing Nsarangbe gave the welcome address. Principal, Don Bosco Higher Secondary School, Wokha, Fr. T.T. Joseph offered the invocation prayer.
