Excise seize assorted liquor

Excise duty personnel while performing EEM duty recovered has 1068 bottles/cans of assorted liquor on February 22 at Super market area, Dimapur.
According to commissioner of excise & prohibition Nagaland Dimapur, Tarep Imchen one accused Bokato Sumi has been arrested and booked under the NLTP Act 1989.
In another separate incident, Excise Narcotic Cell duty personnel while performing EEM duty recovered 1500 bottles/cans of assorted liquor from a godown located at Diphu road Dimapur on February 23. One accused Vitono (23) has been arrested and booked under the NLTP Act 1989. It further informed that the department would continue to check and maintain strict surveillance to curb the illegal flow of liquor in the state and urged all colony chairpersons, GBs and public to report any illegal activity, transportation or godowns of liquor to the authority.
