AR seize illegal liquor

Wokha battalion of Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (N) carried out a search operation at Foot Hill road junction and captured illegal Indian Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL) on February 22.
According to AR Wokha battalion, two individuals Atheo Odyuo (29) son of Lajamo Odyuo, resident of Bhandari village, Wokha and Nchunthung Kikon (18) son of late Thunglamo Kikon, resident of Alikhum village, Wokha district were apprehended with IMFL worth 28 thousand. The recoveries include 60 bottles of MC Dowell Rum, 24 bottles of foster beer, 48 cans of Kingfisher beer, 24 bottles of Kingfisher beer and 24 bottles of Heman beer.
Further, AR informed that the liquor were found hidden in a Maruti Omni van (AS 25 B 1154). In this connection, the individuals along with the recoveries were handed over to Bhandari police station Wokha.
