
Nagaland State legal Services Authority (NSLSA) organised legal services camp at Mitelephe village under Kezocha Tehsil of Kohima district.
In her address, member secretary NSLSA and special judge TDP vigilance commission, Nino Iralu said that Mitelephe village was one of the smallest and remote villages in Kohima district where people were unaware of the free legal services provided by various government departments.
Iralu said that the NSLSA team along with some voluntary members came to village to create awareness on the various legal services provided by the government to the public.
Secretarial assistant directorate of labour Nagaland, Seyievio Neihu also highlighted various benefits for the building and other construction workers’ welfare scheme under Nagaland building and other construction workers’ welfare board department of labour government of Nagaland.
He said that the beneficiary lists included like grant for purchase of tools, medical assistance, children education allowance, maternity benefit for women beneficiaries and others.
During the camp, there was registration for unorganised sector as well as free medical camp. Nino Iralu stated that NSLSA successfully conducted camp for the disability persons at Phek town in 2017 with five doctors from Kohima where 320 differently abled persons attended the camp and informed them about the various benefits provided by the government for them.
She said that NSLSA would conduct more camps in collaboration with the postal department, banks and other department to sensitise the public about the various schemes and benefits giving by the government.
