
Nagaland governor, PB Acharya, has extended greetings to the Ao community on the occasion of Tsungremong and to the Chang community on the occasion of Naknyulüm festival.
Acharya said Tsungremong should provide opportunities for budding generations and other villagers to display their skills and physical strength. Acharya also encouraged the Aos to safeguard and promote their rich culture and traditions through the festival. Further, he called upon the Aos to take time and thank the Almighty for His unwavering love and blessing. Acharya hoped that the festival bring peace, unity and prosperity to the Aos in particular and Nagas in general.
Also, extending Naknyulüm greetings to the Chang community, Acharya said Naknyu Festival symbolized the conquest of light over darkness. He urged the people to resolve and to eradicate evils in society and celebrate the festival with traditional peace, unity and harmony. He also encouraged the Changs to safeguard and promote their rich culture and traditions through the festival.
He hoped that the festival inspire all to work for the unity and well-being of the country and to strengthen the moral foundations of the society.
