
A meeting to chalk out programme on work distribution and ground arrangement etc, for the ensuing Independence Day celebration at Kohima was held at DC’s Conference Hall, Kohima on Tuesday.
According to DIPR, the meeting was chaired by ADC, Kohima, Lithrongla Tongpi Rutsa.
On the school contingents for Independence Day 2018 and Republic Day 2019, the ADC informed the responsible department and private schools, that there would be a roaster system for schools contingents, both government and private schools. The selected schools would be divided into two groups where the first half group would be participating in the ensuing Independence Day ceremonial parade and the other half listed schools will participate in the coming Republic Day celebration 2019, she said.
The main idea of listing out the schools was to inform the schools authority to be aware and be prepared to participate in the Republic Day ceremonial parade 2019.
ADC also informed that the Independence Day parade rehearsal would start from August 7 from 7 am at the Secretariat plaza and the final rehearsal will be held on August 13.
Participating schools have been asked to tie up with SDO (Sadar) Kohima for transportation of School children during the rehearsal.
