The Eastern Nagaland Peoples’ Organization (ENPO) has deeply mourned the sudden and untimely demise of Hamnyei Phom, former president of Phom Peoples’ Council (PPC) on September 4 in NEIGRIMS Hospital Shillong.
A condolence message by ENPO media cell said late Hamnyei Phom was an active and committed social worker at the grassroots for his tribe in particular and Eastern Nagaland in general. ENPO stated that he would be remembered for his endurance and selfless contribution towards the people of Eastern Nagaland, and also as a signatory to the statehood demand of ENPO (Frontier Nagaland). The ENPO conveyed deep condolences to the bereaved family members and prayed for the departed soul to rest in eternal peace.
