
Lt Gen Gopal R, General Officer Commanding (GOC) 3 Corps visited Sainik School Punglwa (SSP), Nagaland on September 22.
A press release from SSP stated that the GOC the General Officer while addressing the cadets in the assembly stated that it was his long planned wish to visit Sainik School Punglwa. He said that cadets were the blessed ones and potential officers under training and future of the country. He advised them to develop a thirst for knowledge and undertake social responsibility in future. He further advised the cadets to not be distracted by the latest generation gadgets and inculcate in themselves the habit of reading books. He also emphasised on the importance of education in one’s life.
Earlier, the GOC was given a guard of honour by senior cadets and principal of SSP, Gp. Capt Sharad R. Keskar welcomed the GOC. He was briefed by the principal about the school and later visited the school’s academic block, Capt Kenguruse mess and school campus.
