The District AIDS Prevention & Control Unit (DAPCU) Peren in collaboration with District Legal Service Authority (DLSA) Peren held a district consultation/follow up meeting on Stigma and Discrimination, CABA Uptake, Social and Legal Protection Schemes on September 22.
A press release from DAPCU Peren stated that the meeting was attended by PLHIV’s and CHC staff, where Asungbe, retainer lawyer, legal-&-probation officer ICPS Peren spoke on the role of legal service authority, child protection and child rights.
Enchang, panel lawyer spoke on the topic HIV & AIDS Prevention and Control Act 2017. Asuni panel lawyer shared various social benefit schemes for PLHIVs and spoke on how to avail the benefits from various line departments.
During the interaction hour, PLHIVs raised various queries where the panel of lawyers cleared their doubts on how to go about in availing social benefit schemes from various departments. Vote of thanks was given by Wikambo president DLN.
The program was chaired by Pauheugau program assistant DAPCU and welcome address was given by Rovikhoto Mor DPO DAPCU.
