
State chief minister, Neiphiu Rio, has expressed gratitude to all sections of the people who came forward to participate in the mass cleanliness drive from September 29 to October 2, 2018 throughout the state as part of the Swachhata Hi Seva 2018 coinciding with the 150th Birth Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi. According to CMO media cell, the chief minister expressed hope that cleanliness would be maintained as a way of life and not only during campaigns. He expressed confidence that all those who participated in the cleanliness drive would be inspired to continue the works in their respective areas and ensure greater participation of individuals in maintaining clean and green surroundings in the interest of public health and environmental protection.
