A foundation stone for the Sumi Ki construction was unveiled by Tokheho Yepthomi, MP Lok Sabha at Chekiye village in the presence of Sumi Ki Construction Committee (SKCC) members and leaders of frontal organizations under Western Sumi Hoho on October 6.
A press release by SKCC convenor, K, Kakheho Yepthomi stated that the MP called upon all Western Sumi leaders and the public to extend support and cooperation in their own capacities towards the construction for timely completion of the project. “Instead of relegating responsibilities to one another everyone should do their bit and take it as a responsibility to see that the building is constructed at the earliest” Tokheho said. For constructing a building, money was not the only thing, but it needs physical, moral and contributions of prayers as well, the MP said.
Sumi Ki construction committee, convenor, K. Kakheho Yepthomi appealed for unwavering support and cooperation towards the committee since the Ki was common property. He expressed appreciation to secretary finance & LRD, Y. Kikheto Sema for his financial assistance in acquiring the land for the building. He also thanked Tokheho for his assistance towards the construction.
Western Sumi Hoho (WSH) president, Zheshito delivered the welcome address and Er. Kasho Chishi, president Sumi Officers’ Union Dimapur chaired the program.
