Zunheboto inter-school painting competition

Directorate of Tourism, government of Nagaland, conducted an interschool painting competition at Olympic Higher Secondary School Zunheboto under the banner of "Paryatan Parv" on September 26.

Before the start of the painting competition, assistant director Tourism, Toka. E. Tuccumi, briefed the students about "Paryatan Parv" and said it was initiated by the Union Ministry of Tourism , DoNER and NEC, government of India and department of Tourisim, government of Nagaland in the year 2017 to showcase the cultural diversity of the country and to reinforce the principal of "Tourism for all". 
He stated that its objective is to draw focus on the benefits of tourism mainly on three components of "Paryatan Parv" namely: Dekho apna desh, under which the government hopes to encourage Indians to visit places in their own country; Tourism for all — to promote event in cities across all the states in the country; and Tourism and governance — intended to organize interactive workshops with all stake holders. 
He also said under "Paryatan Parv", there were many activities like cultural competition, dance competition, yoga sessions, debate, essay competition, heritage walk, painting competition, etc. But this year the department opted to hold a painting competition based on the theme "global warming". Tourist officer, Khekishe Kappo also sopke on the theme of the competition.
