A Peren District Tuberculosis Forum (PDTBF) meeting was held at the deputy commissioner’s conference hall, new headquarter Peren, on September 26, chaired by DC (chairman, district task force committee), S. Tainiu.
A press release from CMO Peren district media officer, Celine Secii stated that Dr. Yartenla, district TB officer Peren, highlighted details about formation of the District TB Forum. She also gave a slideshow presentation on Revised National Tuberculosis Programme (RNTCP) activities and services in the district. In her presentation she highlighted the RNTCP infrastructure, NIKSHAY entry status, microbiologically confirmed cases outcome (Retreatment), trend in MDR cases detected and treated.
Rovi Mor, district program manager, District Aids Prevention Control Unit (DAPCU) Peren also gave a slideshow presentation highlighting the formation of DAPCU, its aims and objectives. His presentation also included the HIV testing & positivity status, prevalence of HIV positive women, prevalence of HIV Positive General population, IDU positive detected, PLHIV alive on ART status and OST status.
The meeting was attended by district planning officer, assistant public prosecutor, deputy chief medical officer, staff of the chief medical office: NHM, RNTCP, and DAPCU, representatives from NGO’s, PLHIV and cured TB patients. Vote of thanks was given by Dr. Denis Hangsing, CMO Peren.
