
A state monitoring team of the National Vector Borne District Control Programme (NVBDCP) visited Longleng district on September 26 to 27 and inspected the Primary Health Centre (PHC) and sub centres.
A press release from the office of Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Longleng stated that the team led by state program officer, NVBDCP, Dr. Talitemsula Jamir and deputy director, NVBDCP & state assessor for measles rubella campaign Longleng district, Dr. Neisakho Kire accompanied by DVBO Longleng, Dr. Manyau Phom and DVBD consultant, Afen Phom — visited Tamlu Primary Health Centre (PHC), Tangha Sub Centre and Yongnyah PHC. The release stated that the team oversaw program implementation, checked reports and monitored the activities of health workers and ASHAs.
On September 27, the team visited Sentinel Site District Hospital Longleng, Jan Aushadhi Store and DVBO office. The state program officer and deputy director also visited Yachem PHC. After the visits, a meeting was held with all frontline health workers of NVBDCP at the CMO’s Conference Hall. The meeting was also attended by CMO Longleng, Dr. Kongyan Phom, SMO DH Longleng, Dr. Satou Mezhu, DPO (RCH & UIP), Dr. Imnameren and MO Sentinel Site DH Longleng, Dr. Wannau Phom.
