Nagaland Medical Council (NMC) has endorsed the Measles and Rubella Vaccination Campaign (M-RVC). A press release by NMC president, Dr. Joyce Z. Angami stated that measles is a deadly disease and rubella infection in early pregnancy can cause disability of children. These can be mitigated by administration of MR vaccine, it stated. NMC appealed to parents to protect the future generation by administering MR vaccine to their children in the age group nine months to 15 years.
