The Aghunaqa Kukami Kuqhakulu (AKK) has expressed strong support for the Western Sumi Kukami Hoho’s (WSKH’s) stand in congratulating the Dimapur District Village Council Chairman Association (DDVCCA) but asking non urban Sumi villages to respect the sanctity of Sumi customary laws and desist from affiliating with DDVCCA. AKK president, Mughavi Awomi and general secretary, Hetoi Katty, in a press release also congratulated the DDVCCA and its newly elected members but added that the Sumi tribe had its own customs and traditions with a unique institution of GBship affiliated under the WSKH.
