PDR supports public rally

People for Democratic Rights (PDR) has extended support to the mass public rally under the banner of Public Action Committee (Naga Council Dimapur). 

In a press release PDR media and publicity affairs has called upon all the public to come out and  support the cause against multiple taxations from various quarters including the government agencies. 

PDR said another major concern was the item/commodity tax collected by the DMC where the public are paying extra amount since traders had to hike the price owing to it.  Terming DMC tax as “daylight robbery” burdening the public, PDR said that change of DMC tolls to urban tolls and utility fees with the objective of differentiating it from the GST regime, should be deliberated equally at the public rally.
