Nagaland Medical Council (NMC) has informed all allopathic private practitioners in Nagaland that as per the Supreme Court order, through Medical Council of India (MCI), it was mandatory to report HIV cases under the care to National AIDS Control Organisation (NACO). In a circular NMC deputy registrar, Dr. Kevilhulie Meyase, stated that the format for the same was available on NACO website. Further, NMC stated that any violation of the court order would be considered as breach of directions of the Supreme Court.
