National Highway-29 near Chumukedima check-gate which was blocked by fallen rocks on October 31, was cleared on November 4 night.
According to traffic sources, the road was opened for single lane traffic at around 8:20 p.m.
A brief prayer programme was held before the road was opened for traffic.
However, restoration work will continue, and it will take around 20 days to completely clear the debris, traffic sources said.
