Public Action Committee (PAC) of Naga Council Dimapur (NCD), which has called for a complete Dimapur district bandh on December 10, 2018 from 5am to 5pm, Saturday appealed to the public to extend support and cooperation and bear the inconvenience.
In a press release, PAC also requested the passengers travelling by train or flight to reach the destination before the bandh hour as show of support and concern to the burning issues confronting the citizens.
Stating that the bandh would be peaceful, PAC has instructed the volunteers deployed for the enforcement of the bandh to maintain strict discipline. It stated that no untoward incident should happen and not to make fire on the roads since that would damage the roads or create situation.
Further, PAC informed all the volunteers to report in their assigned area of operation on or before 4.30am. It also said that respective tribal hoho presidents were responsible for their volunteers conduct.
In case of any person violating the bandh, the concern leader of volunteers would report to the control room at NCD (7005664039, 7005440147). PAC stated that bandh has been called to send strong resentment against perpetrators.
Meanwhile, PAC reiterated that paramilitary, police, district administration, wedding duty, funeral, students on exam duty, hospitals, medical duty and media have been exempted from the purview of the proposed bandh.
