The 25th Mayangnokcha Awards Presentation Ceremony for Academic Excellence was held at Mayangnokcha Higher Secondary School, Mokokchung on November 2.
DIPR reports that speaking on the occasion as special guest, Dr. S C Jamir said it was a privilege to be living in the 21st century. He advocated for change our mindsets and think outside the box to participate in this fast changing world.
Stating that youth today were the leaders of tomorrow, Jamir said in today’s highly competitive world there was hardly any room for mediocrity, and people have to be the best to achieve their goals in life.
Jamir maintained that the greatest danger of Naga society was that they do not know where they were today and have lost direction.
He said people were blinded by creed and have made corruption a part of the culture. Therefore, to bring about a change in society, Jamir asked the youth to be proactive and move forward exhibiting integrity in lives.
