RSZ calls for improvements of CHC Tseminyu

DIMAPUR

Rengma Selo Zi (RSZ), the apex youth organization of the Rengma community, has called for urgent improvements at Community Health Centre (CHC) Tseminyu, which serves the entire Tseminyu district.
In a representation to Chief Medical Officer Department of Health & Family Welfare
Kohima, Nagaland, RSZ president, Kegwayhun Tep and general secretary, Hiyalo Jemu said that RSZ, which officially adopted the health center last year, has been advocating for better staffing and infrastructure. Despite repeated appeals, the facility continues to struggle with limited resources.
Currently, CHC Tseminyu operates with only one MBBS doctor (contractual), one dentist, one Ayushman doctor, and six nurses. With rising patient numbers, especially from rural areas, the existing staff is insufficient to meet growing healthcare demands.
The organization expressed frustration over the lack of concrete action despite multiple requests. Rengma Selo Zi therefore warned that if immediate steps were not taken to allocate more medical officers, nurses, and essential facilities, they may be forced to initiate democratic protests to highlight the issue.
The youth body urged the authorities to act swiftly, emphasizing that continued neglect could put lives at risk.
