The Sumi Baptist Churches Association’s (SBCA’s) 6th Triennial Conference concluded on Sunday with Er. Picto Shohe, MLA, gracing the worship service as special invitee.
A press release by SBCA media cell stated that in his message, Er. Picto encouraged the Church to play a vital role in transforming Naga society.
Er. Picto also recollected the scriptural text, Ephesians chapter 6:1, which was taught to him by his mother, a women’s pastor who served for 30 years under the SBAK Ministry. He, along with his group, also presented two songs. Speaker of the service, Sumi Biblical Baptist Church, sr. pastor, Rev. Yehoshe Chishi, challenged the Church and believers to sensibly fight the spiritual battle.
He also spoke on issues confronting Christianity and urged Sumi Churches to earnestly pray and pursue God’s will.
SBAK Pastoral Care Secretary, Rev. Tokhezhe Kiba and SBAK mission secretary, Rev. Vitoshe Aye, were the moderators of the conference.
SBAK executive secretary, Rev. Mulato Chishi also prayed for some retiring members while SBAK council chairman, Dr. Pihoto Khala thanked the host Church and well wishers for making the conference a success.
