ENSF: Eastern Naga Students’ Federation (ENSF) has offered heartfelt condolences over the sudden demise of former minister and four-time MLA, K Yamakam.
A condolence note issued by ENSF president, Sepili L Sangtam stated that having represented the people of 58th (Shamator-Chessor) constituency four times, the federation recalled his tireless efforts and sacrifice for the cause of Eastern Nagas and Nagas in general and his spirit of unwavering resistance to bring the Nagas into light.
It conveyed its sympathies and heartfelt condolences and prayed that the Almighty transform grief into a source of strength for the bereaved family.
PPC: Phom People’s Council (PPC) has expressed shock and sadness over the passing away of K. Yamakam.
In a condolence note, PPC president, P. Chingan Phom and general secretary, P. Changlong, said that late Yamakam was an honest and humble politician, rare qualities many people’s do not possess. It stated that he was a pioneer and much respected leader of eastern Nagaland which will be fondly remembered by Nagas in general and eastern Nagaland in particular. PPC wished that Almighty God grant solace to the bereaved family members and prayed for the departed soul to rest in peace.
NSCN (I-M): Government of the People’s Republic of Nagalim (GPRN) has expressed deep pain at the untimely demise of ‘sergeant’ (Posthumous) Lhoching Khapudang, Army No. 43232/14 from Kongkan village (Wung Tangkhul Region) of the general head quarters, Naga Army, on November 11 at Hau village, Dimapur district due to a cardiac arrest.
The NSCN (I-M) through its MIP stated that late Lhoching joined the national service on February 26, 2014 and served the nation wholeheartedly until his demise. MIP further stated that his sacrifice for the Naga Nation would ever be cherished. It further offered condolences to the bereaved family and prayed for the departed soul rest in peace.
