The Superintendent of Police Mokokchung has issued a traffic advisory for the public to be followed during the ‘Night Carnival’ from December 20 to 22 to be held in Mokokchung town starting from Town Square (Police Point) to Rotary House junction.
Entry of vehicles along the stretch from 5 pm to 10 pm is restricted. Also the following road diversions are being made during the carnival for smooth flow of traffic: i) Total restriction of vehicular movement along the stretch from Police point to Rotary House at IM Road; ii) Vehicular movement beyond Police Point from Tongdentsuyong/Alongmen area shall be diverted from Main Police Point; iii) Vehicles entering the main town from Yimyu/Khensa area have been advised to take the road from Jubilee Memorial School junction/Model Higher Secondary School junction (Milak river junction) towards Dilong ward; iv) Vehicles entering the main town from towards local ground have been advised to take the road from DC Hill junction – Ao Senden office – Police Point (OR), the vehicles will be diverted at Rotary Point.
These restrictions do not apply to Ambulances, Fire Tenders and Police vehicles on duty for exigencies.
