The Nagaland Forest Management Project (NFMP) conducted a training workshop for its 11 Divisional Management Units (DMUs) and 22 Field Management Units (FMUs) and the Project Management Unit (PMU), on the topic “Micro-plan and Annual Implementation Planning” on December 18, at State Environment and Forestry Training Institute (SEFTI), Dimapur.
A press release from NFMP deputy project director & PRO Lhinghoikim Touthang stated that the training workshop opened with a discussion on “district forest management plan” led by the principal chief conservator of Forests and head of Forest Force Nagaland, Panger Jamir and Additional PCCF (territorial) M.M. Ngullie.
Technical sessions on micro-planning, annual implementation and accounting procedures were conducted on the day.
Temjenyabang, conservator of Forests (Publicity & Training) talked about the JFMC structuring, while on the topic of micro-plan preparation, Dr. Keneilhoutuolie Miacheo, conservator of forests (Southern Territorial Circle) was the resource person.
The consultant group “Tripurainfo” discussed income generation activities & livelihood security in detail. A session on accounting procedures was conducted by chartered accountants, Sanjay Jain & Associates, and Ango Konyak, deputy project director, NFMP spoke on “Operation manual” and “Annual action plan”.
The program was chaired by NFMP project director, Supongnukshi, invocation was offered by Dr. Sentitula, DFO Peren.
The training workshop concluded with closing remarks from chief project director, NFMP Dharmendra Prakash.
The annual report of NFMP for the year (2017-18) was released by principal chief conservator of Forests.
