Chenwetnyu Village Council (CVC) office, constructed under MGNREGA and grant in aid was formally inaugurated by CL John, MLA 45 Tehok and dedicated by Rev. Dr. W. Pongsing Konyak on December 24.
According to DIPR report, CL John congratulated the VCC, secretary and all the villagers for taking initiative in constructing the office building. He said that it was the first complete village council office in Mon district and called it as mini office complex. He encouraged them to continuously cite the good example to the others and use the building for progress. He also urged the other neighbouring villages to use government fund/scheme for village/society development. He also released the book “Chenwetnyu Village Council Gaun Bura & Village Council members’ bio – data 2018”
BDO Chen, B. Wakhoo, in his short speech said that, development and achievement in the village/society came through unity and cooperation among villagers. He congratulated the Chenwetnyu village for their big achievement. He also mentioned that Chenwetnyu was one of the most progressive villages in Mon district. He urged the village council, VDB- village management committee to take assessment in village and plan out works for some period to achieve. On behalf of district administration, SDO (Civil) Mon also delivered short speech.
The programme was chaired by VCC Chenwetnyu, MP Nockpai, welcome address by head GB, Y. Khahwang, special number presented by youth executive Chenwetnyu, and cultural song presented by Chenmoho village council and CASK, Chen town unit.
