Kami Students’ Union celebrates anniversary

The Kami Students’ Union (KSU) celebrated its 50th Anniversary at Kami village under Phek district under the theme “Doing ordinary things extraordinarily well” with retired professor, Hanyoung University, South Korea Dr. Jose Song as the special invitee and minister for Planning & Co-ordination, Land Revenue, Neiba Kronu as guest speaker on Thursday.
Dr. Jose Song in his address spoke about things he had experienced in the university. He encouraged the young people to work hard to fulfil their dreams in life.
Kronu in his address shared how the present generation students were fortunate to have access to various facilities of the times unlike the olden days. He urged the student community to make use of these facilities for their benefit. Challenging and reminding the gathering, he said that jobs are not limited but the world needs people of quality. He dwelt on the need to focus and to humble oneself before God in everything to be successful in life.
Roukwekhro Khape, in his presidential address, highlighted the union’s efforts, which he said, emphasizes on quality education and all round development. Extra tutorial classes are also given to village students as part of their activities. The program was chaired by Wecheteü Khape; and blessings were invoked by the local pastor (KBC). The greeting message was given by Zhietshünyi Kronu, VDB secretary, and benediction prayer was said by Dr. Zhapulhou.  
Earlier, the 50th anniversary monolith was unveiled by minister, Neiba Kronu.
