Nagaland BJP preparatory meeting for National Convention

BJP Nagaland state held a preparatory meeting for the National Convention and Good Governance Day at the state head office Kohima on December 29.

A press release by BJP Nagaland general secretary, Kavili Achumi stated that Nagaland BJP president and minister for Higher and Technical Education, Temjen Imna Along said that Nagaland BJP was a national party with a regional outlook.

Imna encouraged party workers to leave aside differences and work together for stronger prospects. Imna stressed on the Good Governance Day saying “a person’s birthday is decided by God, not man”, and India celebrates good governance day in honour of Atal Bihari Vajpayee whose birthday falls on December 25.

He said Vajpayee was not only a politician but a great poet, orator and statesman who had brought trajectory programs to Nagaland. Temjen Imna further encouraged party workers to practice humility and accountability in their alloted responsibilities.

Imna also lauded the 12 full time workers for their tireless services rendered to the party which, he said, led to the party’s big success in the state.

Earlier in the program, all districts and morchas presented their reports followed by a discussion led by Ananta Narayan Mishra, organising secretary, on the forthcoming BJP national convention scheduled for January 11 and 12, 2019 in New Delhi. The program was led by Kuputo Shohe, chief spokesperson.
