NNC (Parent Body) Zeliangrong-Region has expressed grief over the demise of “lieutenant colonel” and commanding officer 2nd battalion NNC Parent Body Zeliangrong Region, Huraipi Kalengta.
In a condolence message, NNC (PB), Zeliangrong-Region said late Huraipi Kalengta sacrificed his life for the nation’s work and served the nation selflessly till his death. “His service will be remembered by the Nagas though he has gone from us” the message said.
It conveyed heartfelt sympathies to members of bereaved family and prayed that the departed soul rest in peace. The funeral service was held at the deceased’s residence at Jalukie Town on Sunday, it added.
