Two-day postal strike

All India Postal Employees Union (AIPEU) Nagaland division Saturday announced joining the two-day nationwide strike scheduled for January 8 and January 9, 2019. In a press release, AIPEU-P III, Nagaland division secretary Daniel Domeh informed that the strike was called by the confederation of central government employees and national federation of postal employees in support of the 23-point charter of demands which includes scarping of New Pension Scheme (NPS). The union has informed that all public transactions in the post office across Nagaland would remain closed.
