
The 31st session of the Phekmi Collegiate Forum (PCF) was held at Phek village Panchayat Hall under the theme “Sustainable development through education” on January 5.
A press release issued by PCF media cell stated that Vechisa Venuh, vice principal DIET Chiechama, as speaker of the session, encouraged the members to be diligent, hard working and possess “a never give up attitude”. He further laid stress on the importance of health in the success of a person and advised the students to refrain from using tobacco products and other substances detrimental to health.
He also challenged the members to sit for competitive examinations and come out with flying colours.
Venuh congratulated NPSC successful candidate Er. Nuthozo Hoshi for setting an example by utilizing the talents that God has given all human beings.
He further promised a cash award of Rs. 5000 each to all NPSC successful candidates for the coming year as a gift of encouragement.
Phek village council chairman Chivozo Soho also exhorted the gathering.
VCC, PCF and Phek Students’ Union jointly felicitated Er. Nuthozo Hoshi with a certificate of achievement.
The program was chaired by PCF vice president Sekhopa Rhakho and earlier, the PCF president Vekhopu Venuh delivered a welcome address.
Veshe Chizo gave a statistical report. Around 300 members attended the session.
Meanwhile, the nomination committee has announced a new team of PCF office bearers for the session 2019-20 led by president Vekhopu Venuh (re-elected), vice president Kho-o Keyho, general secretary Veshe Chizo along with 14 others.
