Wildlife conservation program in Songlhuh

Songlhuh Youth and Students Union (SYSU), in collaboration with Jalukie BN, Assam Rifles, conducted a wildlife conservation drive on January 5, to educate locals about the importance of wildlife.

A press release from SYSU media cell, Richard Singson stated that the conservation message was conveyed to the villagers and SYSU members helped in translating it for the officer representative of Assam Rifles. Villagers from all age groups attended the lecture and showed keen interest in contributing to the preservation of wildlife effort.

Elders and village authorities pledged to control hunting habits of locals in their village. 

The Assam Rifles representative also laid emphasis on implementing timely measures to save the wildlife and environment for the next generation.
