KASU Biennial General Conference concludes

Kuhuboto Area Students’ Union’s (KASU) three-day 35th biennial general conference, hosted by Kuhuboto Town Students Union (KTSU) at Kuhuboto town concluded on Sunday evening. 

A press release from KASU media cell stated that, the union flag was  also hoisted during the inaugural session.

Speaking on the occasion, Conference Host,  Hollen K. Yepthomi asked the students to be hard working and lead disciplined lives in order to be successful. As the speaker of the conference, Dr. Kivika K. Yepthomi, assistant professor MGM and NECU, spoke on the topic “Reaffirming our future together” in the theme session held on Sunday morning. 

Kakheli Inato Jimomi, women secretary, department of Women Ministry, WSBAK, was the literary guest of the event. Speaking in a session on Saturday, she challenged the students to give importance to education as it was only through education that society could progress.

Electo Yesca, who graced the valedictory session on Sunday evening, reminded the students to uphold the values of student life and make best use of them. 

Other dignitaries Kuhovi Zhimomi, president, KGPO, Kawoto Ayemi, head GB and president KGPO, Kakiho Awomi, president, WSSU and Kakheto Assumi, GB and president, KGSA, also exhorted the students during the conference. 

Competitions of various indigenous games, sports, literary and cultural items were conducted during the entire run of the conference. More than thousand students representing 23 units of the union attended the event.
