Marking the beginning of the year, Dimapur Moilan Union (DMU) went out on a picnic on Monday, at Moilan Village Whabong Taro (MVWT) Bosti, Karbi Anglong.
The event was also aimed at continuing to foster unity and oneness among the Moilan village family residing in Dimapur.
At the picnic, the eldest members of Moilan village families residing in Dimapur were also felicitated. More than a hundred people, young and old, attended the picnic.
Meanwhile, the DMU elected a new team of office bearers for the tenure (2019-23).
The team will be led by Nyamo Humtsoe as chairman, Abemo R Ovung as secretary and Elithung B Ovung as finance secretary & treasurer.
