
Nagaland State VDB Secretary Association has informed all the 1243 Village Development Board’s (VDB’s) under Nagaland State that from the 2019-2020 financial, implementation of Direct Benefit Transfer will be enforced and made mandatory. The benefits of Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Gurantee Act (MGNREGA) Schemes will be directly transferred to the individual accounts of those holding Job Cards.
Nagaland State VDB Secretary Association general secretary, Manthungo Kikon, in a press release stated that in regard to this, all VDB secretaries are to collect and submit details of Aadhaar cards and bank accounts of the MGNREGS job card holders to their concerned BDOs for necessary implementation of this directive.
The release also stated that VDB’s that do not comply with this directive will be deprived of their rights to the schemes and the department will not be in a position to help them.
The association has called upon all VDBs to cooperate with it and initiate immediate steps so that this directive may be implemented smoothly throughout the state of Nagaland.
