State team attends Bhopal Tribal Literature Fest

Representatives from Nagaland, Aboli Wotsa, Tharchan Zimik and Mongshai Khiamniungan (participants of “The Bards of Magnum Opus”), led by core member of Act Of Kindness (AOK), Kishor Das, participated in the “Tribal Literature Festival” from December 14 to 16 at Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Manav Sangrahalaya Museum in Bhopal.

A late press release from AOK, Lenti Aier stated that “Magnum Opus” is an Art and Music Festival organised annually by Act of Kindness on October 24 & 25 to commemorate the International Artists’ Day and also to bring together artists from all fields.

During the festival, they recited poetry written both in their native dialect and English. The fest promoted different tribal cultures across India through literature. The festival also encouraged young poets and writers to come out and be a part of a larger circle. It encouraged social and cultural fusion by connecting writers from different parts of India, a wonderful opportunity for young writers to think and write beyond the small world they confine themselves in. They also got to tour the country’s capital city Delhi, and Jama Masjid.
