LBCA conducts children rally

The three-day rally for children by the Children Education Department of Lotha Baptist Churches Association (LBCA), held at Wokha Village Baptist Church (WVBC) wrapped up on January 13 evening, with Rev. Dr. Tsanso pastor Pongidong Baptist Church conducting the special consecration service.

A press release from CNY LBCA chairman, N. Thungchio Lotha stated that the rally with numerous preachers and teachers focused on the theme “Rejoice in the Lord always and again I say rejoice”, Philippians 4:4. Prominent servants of God like Rev. Dr. Tsanso, Rev. Dr. Benri Lotha, pastor Yanbemo Ovung, Ajano Kikon assistant women leader of WTBC, CNY director Elizabeth Ovung and Motsuthung Tsopoe CNY secretary of the LBCA shared from the Word of God. Many children responded to the calling and surrendered their lives to Jesus Christ.

Elizabeth Ovung taught about prayer and challenged the children to pray for Nagaland and six nations (India, China, Syria, Iran, Myanmar and South Africa).

Many other activities were organized like singing competition, choreography, scripture recitation, identifying ancestral and traditional items of the Lothas, spelling bee of characters from the Bible etc.

The overall champion of the rally was Wokha Town Baptist Church (WTBC) which has held the champion’s title for three consecutive years. 

It was also decided that the 6th triennial CNY rally of the LBCA will be held at Lotha Middle range in the year 2022 for which Yentsao Ezung CNY director of the WTBC was appointed as convener of the organizing committee with Myingthungo Kikon Seithekima as vice chairman, Yanchibeni UBC Doyang as secretary, and two others. 

The triennial rally was sponsored by nine Baptist churches of Wokha circle and hosted by the WVBC. Excluding the host Church members, fifty one Churches with 885 delegates registered their names at the rally.
