Lotha Catholic Hymn & Prayer Book launched

The third edition of the Lotha Catholic Hymn and Prayer Book was officially launched on May 24, at Don Bosco youth centre, Wokha by Lotha Catholic literature committee chairman L. Peter Humtsoe, in the presence of all the Catechists from different villages and Lotha Catholic Union (LCU) officials. 
According to a press release from LCU literature secretary, M. Samuel Ezung, during the launching programme, Humtsoe exhorted the congregation to spread the good news through hymns and prayers and also bring unity, peace and harmony within the community. 
He also warned that in the name of secularism the very faith of a Christian church had been shaken and therefore the laity could strengthen their faith through hymns and prayers.  He also thanked all the Lotha Catholic Members for bringing out the 3rd edition. LCU president, Andreas Ezung, in his address expressed his deep appreciation and gratitude to the literature committee for initiating such a noble task and making this book a reality. He also spoke on the importance of hymns and prayers in our religious life.
The programme was chaired by M. Samuel Ezung, member LCU and K. Dominic Ezung gave the welcome address.  Rev. Fr. Rhanben Matthew the Parish incharge Longsa, blessed the launching programme and invocation was pronounced by Rev. Fr. Jossy Asst. Parish Priest Wokha. Later, vote of thanks was delivered by LCU secretary by Hayio Francis.
Catechists from different villages, leaders of various catholic associations, church elders attended the programme.
