A free cataract surgical camp will be held at Dr. Motsuo Memorial Hospital Wokha from January 28 to February 1, organized by the National Programme for Control of Blindness and Visual Impairment (NPCB&VI) directorate of Health and Family Welfare, Kohima.
In a press release, state program officer (NPCB &Vl), Dr. Mereninla Senlem, has requested all patients suffering from blindness or severe visual impairment, particularly the elderly people, to take advantage of the camp’s services.
A medical team consisting of an eye surgeon, OT nurses and ophthalmic assistants from Naga Hospital Kohima will be conducting surgeries free of cost for all eligible patients requiring surgeries.
