The 28th General Session of the Chang Gazetted Officers’ Association (CGOA) was held on January 15 at Waoshu village in Tuensang district.
In a press release president CGOA, Er. Chingmak and general secretary, Amoongli W stated that former minister, H. Chuba Chang congratulated the Chang people in general for the success of the recently concluded Poanglüm Mini Hornbill Festival. He said that the Chang people, in recent years, have chosen the path of advancement in lifestyle and in conduct.
DPO Mokokchung, Antimang expressed her gratefulness to pioneers of the association. Challenging the young officers present to be honest and dedicated in their duties both in the association and their official works, she credited all successes to the hard work of former leaders of the CGOA. Chang Khulei Setshang (CKS) president, Nungsanglemba who also spoke on the occasion, thanked the association for their contribution to the recently concluded Poanglüm event and various other activities of the community.
Earlier, the program was started with invocation offered by PA to DC Tuensang, Naset Chingmak.
The interaction session was participated in by village councils, students, Church members and citizens union. During the session, the achievements and problems faced by each group obstructing their progress educationally, economically and in developmental activities were discussed with productive feedback from the association.
In the evening session, the message was brought by pastor Yungkük Baptist Lashong, L. Ongmang, who spoke about fearing the Lord. The CGOA president expressed words of gratitude and presented mementos to all officers who retired before this session in 2018.
The program was chaired by Nasen Monyu and invocation was offered by acting pastor Waoshu Baptist Church, Moanaro. The session was also graced by director Employment Craftsman and Skill Development Nagaland, Lotham Chang and president CCSU, Chingmak Chang.
The next morning, CGOA members led by CGOA office bearers climbed to the top of Mt. Ngakushon, one of the highest mountain peaks under Chang jurisdiction.
The association expressed its gratitude to the host village for the success of the 28th CGOA general session.
