
Hollotoli School Dimapur conducted a career counselling workshop for its students on January 17 led by founder and director of Centre for Career Development, Delhi, Jitin Chawla.
A press release from Hollotoli School Dimapur HR, Angule Mero stated that in the session, Jitin motivated the students regarding their future plans. He highlighted the topic of challenging traditions and not just blindly following in the footsteps of their parents or giving in to family opinions. He challenged the students to take up their careers based on their personality which, he said, would let them live in synchrony with their profession. Jitin also presented a motivational slide show on young entrepreneurs, to inspire the students to work hard and become assets of humanity. He also discussed various courses for students to take up and set guidelines for career choices according to their subject combinations. He also emphasized on studying abroad with reference to several institutes across the globe. Chawla highlighted emerging career options available to students. He further divided the students into groups and conducted personal interactions inspiring them to work hard to achieve their goals.
Parents also shared their views and opinions and they were informed about the interest of students so that they may support their children. The session commenced in the presence of students of classes X and XII, parents and the school principal, Surparna Roy Choudhury. It stated that all in all, it was an informative session that had widened the student’s perspective about the world of work.
