Jotsoma Youth Organization nabs one

Jotsoma Youth Organization (JYO) apprehended one individual for allegedly extorting money from trucks along NH-29 on June 2.
A press release from JYO president, Khrietuo Peseyie and information & publicity secretary, Rokotoulie Nakhro said that the organization swung into action on receiving information of the extortion activity and apprehended one Renpemo Tsopoe, aged around 20 years, son of Ntsono Tsopoe of Pongidong village under Wokha district, presently residing at Middle Midland, Kohima.
A cash amount of Rs. 18, 310 and two mobile handsets were recovered from his possession. According to JYO, the recovered items and cash were given back to the rightful owner and the accused was handed over to Zubza Police station for further investigation. Strongly condemning such acts within its jurisdiction, JYO urged the authorities to award befitting punishment to the accused as per law.
