TWUK celebrates Tsahyok Nye in Kohima

Tikhir Women Union Kohima (TWUK) celebrated its 4th Tsahyok Nye festival on January 24 at the Jubilee Memorial Hall in Lerie, Kohima. 

TWUK president, Linsushi W, in a press release said that Nyemoi Kius encouraged womenfolk to re-strengthen their efforts in pursuing their goals and also to preserve and uphold their rich cultural and traditional values. Newtoli, lecturer Asian Theological College, Kohima, gave a special presentation on the topic, “The role of Women at home and in the society”. The event was marked with traditional dances and folk songs, followed by the felicitation of women who cleared the NPSC 2018 examinations. A vote of thanks was delivered by the TWUK vice president.

Earlier, the program began with an invocation prayer offered by Venong, associate pastor TBCK.
