NASU warns government schools

Niuland Area Students’ Union (NASU) has expressed resentment on learning that many government educational institutions such as high, middle and primary government schools have been charging admission fees from students.

A press release from NASU president, Yepeto Aye and general secretary, Kaka K. Holo has appealed to all the government schools under Niuland sub-division to comply with the Right To Education (RTE) Act. 

It warned that on failing to comply with the Act, the union will initiate strict necessary action against defaulting schools.

NASU also stated that if at all any monetary transactions are to be conducted with students, it should be accompanied by proper receipts duly signed and authorized by the competent authority.
